Mohamad Damshal Awang Damit
NON-EXECUTIVE NON-INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR / GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mohamad Damshal has held various senior roles in investment management with major local investment institutions as well as foreign investment companies throughout his career. His recent roles include being appointed as Chief Investment Officer at Lembaga Tabung Haji in January 2020, and a year later being Executive Director of Investment, at the same institution.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accounting and Management Science from the University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toledo, Ohio in the United States of America. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst with CFA Institute of the US and a Certified Financial Planner with the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia.

Zulkifli has held several senior roles within the financial services industry, including positions as Executive Director, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer for a substantial number of years.
He has more than 30 years of working experience covering the management and promotion of both equities and fixed-income investments, exchange traded funds and Islamic alternative investments such as Waqf, Structured notes, and SRI.
He graduated from Syracuse University in New York, United States, with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management.

Mohd Fauzi Rahmat

Mohd Fauzi has more than 30 years of experience and has held various senior roles in the financial industry, specializing in corporate and large commercial banking credit management, relationship and business development, product development and management, risk management, development banking, corporate finance and administration. His recent role includes being appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad (PHB).
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Community and Regional Planning (CRP) and Geography (double majors) from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Tursina Yaakob
INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Tursina Yaakob currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Aemulus Holdings Berhad and is a Member of the Investment Committee at Ficus SEA Sdn Bhd, apart from being appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director at PHB Asset Management Berhad.
She has extensive experience in the capital market, analyzing local and international markets across various sectors. She served as a Director in KFH Research Ltd, offering strategic Islamic finance insights, and has held leadership positions at Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan), including Head of Research, Human Resources and Project Management Office.

Syed Qamarul Hikma Samat

Syed Qamarul has over 10 years of experience in the capital market. Prior to joining PHBAM, he was attached to the regulator and two fund management companies undertaking businesses of Private Mandate, Collective Investment Schemes and Private Retirement Scheme. Apart from capital market, he gained valuable experience in insurance industry during his time with prominent insurance companies in Malaysia. Before his involvement in the financial sector, he was with an audit firm and an oil services company in Petaling Jaya.
He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA. He has passed Modules 9, 10 and 11 of the Securities Commission Malaysia Licensing Examination.

Nurzarizi Shafiee

Nurzarizi has more than 20 years of experience in business development and strategic planning in relation to Financial Institution, Insurance and Capital Market business and products.
He held a Capital Markets Services Representative’s License for over six years with a Unit Trust Management Company prior to joining Pelaburan Hartanah Berhad.
He is an Islamic Financial Planner under the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from National University of Malaysia (UKM). He has passed Modules 9 and 10 of the Securities Commission Malaysia Licensing Examination.

Latifah Idris
HEAD OF OPERATIONS
Latifah has more than 25 years of working experience in the Unit Trust industry which includes 20 years as Head of Operations & Finance in fund management companies and more than 5 years as Assistant Vice President of fund accounting teams in a global bank. She has vast exposure and knowledge in overseeing and managing the fund and company accounts, operations and administration.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Administration majoring in Accounting from Lakehead University, Ontario, Canada.

Prof. Dr. Aznan Hasan
CHAIRMAN
Professor Dato' Dr. Aznan is currently a Professor at the Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance at the International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM). He received his first degree in Shariah from the University of al-Azhar and a Master’s degree in Shariah from Cairo University with distinction (mumtaz). He then obtained his Ph.D from the University of Wales, Lampeter, United Kingdom.
He is the current President of the Association of Shariah Advisors in Islamic Finance (“ASAS”). He is also the Deputy Chairman of Shariah Advisory Council of the Securities Commission Malaysia and a former member of the Shariah Advisory Council of Bank Negara Malaysia. Dr. Aznan serves as Chairman of the Shariah Committee of Maybank Islamic Berhad, Chairman of the Shariah Advisory Board, Barclays Capital (DIFC, Dubai), a member of the Shariah Advisory Board, ABSA Islamic Bank (South Africa), FNB Bank, Yasaar Limited, Khalij Islami, European International Islamic Bank (“EIIB”), Amanahraya Berhad, Amanah Raya Investment Bank Labuan, Employee Provident Fund and some other financial institutions and corporate bodies at both local and international level. He also serves as a Shariah consultant to Maybank Investment Bank Berhad. He is a registered Shariah Advisor for the Islamic Unit Trust Schemes and Islamic securities (Sukuk), Securities Commission Malaysia as well as a member of the National International Zakat Organisation (“IZO”) Coordination Committee, an advisory body established under the Prime Minister’s Department, and a member, Shariah Supervisory Board of the Waqaf Foundation (Yayasan Waqaf), a corporate entity formed by the government to oversee the application of Waqaf in Malaysia.

Dr. Ismail Mohd @ Abu Hassan
MEMBER
Dr Ismail bin Mohd @ Abu Hassan is currently an Assistant Professor at the Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws, IIUM. He graduated with First Class honours in Shariah from the University of Malaya and subsequently obtained his LL.M in Comparative Laws from School of Oriental Studies, University of London. He then obtained his PhD in Comparative Law of Evidence from the Victoria University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Dr Ismail has served as a lecturer at the Kulliyyah of Laws, IIUM for more than 25 years. He had also been involved in writing of various papers relating to Shariah Laws, in particularly on Islamic Will and Trust. He had also been involved in a number of books published including “The Legal History of Malaysia” –Ilmiah 8. PANEL OF SHARIAH ADVISERS (Cont’d) 44 Publisher, “Estate Planning for Muslims” – HTHT Advisory Services Pte Ltd and Pustaka Nasional Singapore, “Isu-Isu Harta Pusaka” –HTHT Advisory Services Pte Ltd and Pustaka Nasional Singapore, “Practical Guide for Financial Planner Vol 1,2,3, with AMANAHIBAH Malaysia, “Muslim Law in Wealth and Estate Transfer” –Pustaka Nasional Singapore. Dr Ismail was the first Malaysian expert to testify in the first ever case involving the challenge against the validity of Nuzriah in Probate Matters before the Singaporean High Court (In the Will/Nazar of Haji Ibrahim Originating Summons 601221).
He also appeared as an expert witness in subsequent probate cases in Singapore, Brunei and Malaysia. En Mohd Fadhly Md. Yusoff is currently a member of Shariah Committee for RHB Islamic Bank Berhad, Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Berhad and Sun Life Malaysia Takaful Berhad. He is also a Registered Shariah Adviser for Sukuk and Unit trust (registered with Securities Commission), a Registered Syarie Lawyer, and an accredited trainer for Islamic Finance Qualification (lFQ) by Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Mohd Fadhly currently runs his own business and is also an independent Shariah advisor and consultant. He joined the Islamic Capital Market Department of Securities Commission Malaysia in 1995, where he obtained extensive supervisory and research experience in relation to securities, structured products, and collective investments for 12 years. He left the Securities Commission in 2008 as a manager.
He then became a Consultant to Securities Commission Malaysia for Islamic Capital Market Department before joining Pertubuhan Peladang Kebangsaan (NAFAS) Shariah Committee as a member. He also serves as a Shariah Committee member of Opus Asset Management Sdn Bhd and Astute Fund Management Berhad (formerly known as Apex Investment Services Bhd).
